Big Bar, Big Flat, Helena and Del Loma have commercial cannabis programs through Trinity County. Location and Access to Big Bar Community

Big Bar is an old mining community stretched along the Hwy 299 Trinity River corridor and extending into the hills to the south giving backroads access to cultivation hotspots Hayfork, Hyampom, and Burnt Ranch.

Big Flat is just 12 miles downriver of Junction City and only a few miles from Big Bar. It is a small community of around 200 people that sits along the Trinity River at the takeout of the Pigeon Point whitewater section. There is a popular campground, store and bar, the Trinity Adventure Park, as well as numerous whitewater rafting companies and the popular Straw House Resorts and Cafe.

All of these communities lie near the halfway point between the communities of Willow Creek and Weaverville, the two nearest communities to stock up on groceries and grow supplies. It is also roughly midway between larger population centers of Arcata on the coast and Redding in the central valley. This means life in Big Bar and proximity is relatively remote. Plan town trips accordingly and you will be rewarded with the privacy and slower pace of life the area offers.
